MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL JOINT CITY COUNCIL,
COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION, AND ALAMEDA
REUSE AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING
WEDNESDAY- -MAY 31, 2000- -6:00 P.M.
Mayor/Chair Appezzato convened the Special Meeting at 6:10 p.m.
R 11 Call -
Present: Councilmembers/Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt,
Johnson, Kerr and Mayor/Chair Appezzato - 5.
Absent: None.
The Special Meeting was adjourned to Closed Session to consider:
(CC/00-270) (CIC/00-19) Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated
Litigation; Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to subdivision
(b) of Section 54956.9; Number of Potential Cases: One.
(CC/00-271) (CIC/00-20) Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing
Litigation; Name of Case: Renewed Hope Housing Advocates and ARC
Ecology v. City of Alameda and Community Improvement Commission.
(CC/00-272) (CIC/00-21) Conference with Real Property Negotiator;
Property: Alameda Point and Fleet Industrial Supply Center; Negotiating
Parties: City of Alameda, Community Improvement Commission and Catellus
Development Corporation; Under Negotiation: Price, Terms and
Conveyance.
Following the Closed Session the Special Joint Meeting was reconvened
and Mayor/Chair Appezzato announced that regarding Anticipated
Litigation, the potential litigation was discussed and no action was
taken; regarding Existing Litigation, the Council/Commission/Board
obtained a briefing and no action was taken, but direction was given to
continue settlement discussions; and regarding Conference with Real
Property Negotiator, the matter was not discussed.
Adjournment
There being no further business, Mayor/Chair Appezzato adjourned the
Special Joint Meeting at 6:30 p.m.
