FRIDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 21ST, 1921.
The meeting convened at 7 :40 P. M. with President Otis presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Adams, Latham, Tilden and President Otis,
(4) were noted present. Absent: Councilman Probst, (1).
Mr. Tilden moved that the council resolve itself into a Committee of the
Whole, seconded by Mr. Latham and carried.
Er. Latham moved that the Committee of the Whole arise, seconded by Mr.
Adams and carried.
Mr. E. B. Stone presented to the council a number of petitions signed by
residents and property owners on Bay Farm Island, requesting the council to dis-
continue the dumping of rbage on Bay Farm Island. The petitions were ordered
accented and filed.
2 ✓ Mr. Tilden moved that the proposed Agreement with Ella C. Henkenius, per-
mitting the City of Alameda to dump garbage upon her holdings on Bay Farm Island,
be not ratified and that the city clerk and city attorney inform her attorney,
Mr. Robert Porter, in proper form and in accordance with the agreements, of the
action of the council, seconded by Mr. Latham and on roll call carried unanimously.
3 ✓ Mr. Latham moved that the finding of a place for the disposal of garbage
of the City of Alameda be left in the hands of the Acting City Manager and
the City Engineer, with power to act, seconded by Mr. Tilden and on roll call
carried unanimously.
4'/ Mr. Tilden moved that the recommendation of the City Manager re placing
burglary and robbery insurance on moneys held by the city treasurer, and
contained in the treasurer's vault,at the City Hall, be adopted, and that the
Acting City Manager immediately place the insurance in accordance with the
recommendation made, seconded by Mr. Adams and on roll call carried unanimously.
There being no further business to transact the Council adjourned to meet in
ar session Tuesday evening, November lst, 1921, at 8 o'clock.
