1921-11-22 Regular CC MinutesADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0? ALATEDA, TUESDAY EVENING, NOV. 22ND, 1921. The meeting convened at 8 P. M. with Council-president Otis presiding. The roll was called and Councilmen Adams, Latham, Probst, Tilden and. President Otis, (5), were noted present. Mr. Probst moved for a reconsideration in the matter of the applicaticn of T. J. Sutherland for permission to sell match cases, which application was denied at the meeting of the Council held November 15th, seconded by hr. Tilden and carried. hr. Adams moved that the application be granted, second- ed by hr. Probst and aa roll call carried unanimously. The city clerk stated. that he was in receipt o a petition of protest against the granting of the petition to reclassify 1433 Morton Street, from a Single Family District Class L to a Hospital District Class VI, There being a number of persons present in the Council Chambers, President Otis asked if any one present represented the protestants. hr. Henry Hacke and. Mrs. L. Bissell spoke for the protestants. Attorney Wm. J. Hynes appeared for Dr. Bach, the petitioner, who was also present. City Clerk, Wm. E. Varcoe was excused and. City Attorney Wm. J. Locke anpointed City Clerk pro tem. The City Clerk pro tem thereupon read a Bill,dntitled "A Bill For Ordinance No. New Series. Reclassifying Property Situated at 1433 liorton Street, to a Class VI, Hospital District." hr. Adams moved that the ordinance be adopted and passed, seconded by Mr. Tilden and on roll call it was adopted and passed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Adams, Probst and Tilden, (3). Noes: Councilman Latham and. Counc president Otis, (2) . Absent:None. Speciications for a garbage incinerator were submitted by the City hanager and unanimously adopted by the Council, and the City Clerk instructed to advertise for sealed bids for its construction. There being no further busine o transact the Council adjourned to meet in regular session Tuesday evening, December 6th, 1921, at 8 o'clock. Respectfully submitted, City Clerk.
