The meeting convened at 8:30 p. n. with Council-president Otis pesicling0
The roll was called and Councilmen. Latham i'robst, Tilden and President Otis
(4) were noted present. Absent: Councilman Adams, (1).
Clerk read the call of the meeting as issued by Preslclent Otis, which
strAed that a special meetThg had been called for the purpose of considering
the proposed increase of railway and ferry rates of passenger transportation
and to take such action and adopt such resolution or resolutions in connection
therewith, as may be deemed expedient. Ordered filed.
communication was received from the Alameda Chamber of Commerce, protesting
the proposed increase in railroad rates and offering their assistance, i necessary0
Ordered filed.
Mr. Tilden introduced the followin; Resolution aad moved its adoption:
"Resolution No 321
rotesting an increase in Railay and
Ferry Rates of Pasnen.0;er Transportation."
Mr. Latham seconded the motion to adopt the 1:e elution and on roll call it was adooted
and passed unanimously.
There being no furthe business the council adjourned to meet in reguLr
session Tuesday e oning, August 17th, 1920, at 8 o'cTock.
