Meeting convened with Eayor Noy presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Christensen, a1ker, Krumb, JJanon Spence,
Ells, Fisher, Probst and. Bullock, (9) . Absent:None.
Messrs. Christy and heredith, members of the Board of Electricity addressed
the meeting favoring the proposed Amendment respecting the apportionment of moneys
for the said Department and thereupon .P.r. Probst moved that the esolution to propose
an emendment to the Charter of the City of Alameda being to Amend Article IX, Chapter
I, Section 8, relating to the apportionment of money for the ase of the Department of
Electricity and also to amend Article IX, Chapter I, Section 14 relating to contracts
or electric supplies as read by the C1': in Council session the previous evening be
adopted, seconded by Er. Harmond and carried by the following vote. Ayes:Councilmen
Christeneen, Walker, Krumb, Harmond, Spence, Ells, Fisher, Probst and Bullock,
Noes:None. Absent :Nore
The Printing -eommittee presented a report that in accordance with the power
vested in it by motion of the Council, they had awarded the contract for printing the
various blanks end hooks to be used by the various 7,epartments of the city government
during the year 1911-1912 to the Argus Publishing Comrany, it being the loleest respon-
sible bidder. Er. Ells moved that the report be aprroved, seconded By Er. Bullock
and carried by the following vote. Ayes :Councilmen Christensen, Walker, Krumb,
Ilamond, Spence, Ells, Fisher, Probst and Bullock, (9). Noes: None. Aheent: None.
Er. Fie her moved, that the vote on the Iesolutioe to propose an amendment
to the Cherter of the City of Alameda, to Amend Article X, Section 2 and Section 3
relating to liquor licenses and permits Be reconsidered, seconded by Er. Hammond and
carried By the following vote. Ayes :Councilmen Walker, Hammond, Ells, Fisher and
( . Noes :Councilmen Christensen, Krumb, Spence and Bullock, ( thereupon
Er. Probst moved that the Resolution as read Be adoted, seconded By Er. Hammond and
carried by the following vote. Ayes:Councilmen Walker, Hammond, File , Fisher and
bst, (5). Noes:Councilman Christensen, Krunb, Spence and Bullock, (4). Absent:
None.
There being no further Business to transact the C;ouncil adjourned until the next
regular moot lug, Tuesday, 7e1Druary 21st at 7:30 p. m.
