The meeting convened with layor ''M.h.Hoy,presiding.
The l011 was called and Councilmen 'alher,Krumb,Hammon0,2pence,Ells,orenstern,
Jrotst and Bullock,(8),were noted present and Councilman Christensen (l) ahsent.
The Ilayor addressed the Council stating that it had hecome his sad duty to
re-oOrt that Co-uncilirian Peter Ohristenser had died late that afterroon and closed his
remarks by highly eulogizing tl-e deceased Councilnan as a fellow citien f',n1 a pul-aic
official and thereupon Ir.Dulloch offered the ' llonir so1it ion and moved its
adoption:

who has faithfully served the City of Alameda, as a member of this Council, for the
past five years,giving ungrudringly of his time and ability in both an official and
un-official capacity,

has lost a tried and faithful public offictial,the City Council a wise,true and up-
riptt advisor and the Community an honored and public spirited citiEen,

that the flags on all public buildings he rlaced at half-mast until after the funeral
of the deceasod,that the entrance to the City Hall be draped for a period of thirty

do now ad,lourn.
