From the Loara of Police and ,'?ire Commissioners asking the Council to request the Peoples Water Company to install a six inch main and three fire hydrants in Tunnel Street west of Webster Street and contribute towards the expense the sum of 450.00, ana asking further for the transfer of 04050 from the General Fund to the Fire Fund for the purpose of procuring a Triple Combination Chemioal Engine and Hose Wagon with Booster Pump, with the final request that the Commission be given the privilege of advertising for bids and with full power to act. Mr. Morris moved that the requests- of the Com- mission be complied with, seconded by ±r. Hammond moved that the provision requiring a bond be amended so that the mnonng of the bond shall be two and one- half per 'cent of the contract price of the work, but in no event less thn 15,000, seconded Morris ana carried. IJIr. Hammond also moved that the provision authorizing the City Engineer to employ one or more persons to assist in the supervision and inspection of the work be stricken out, seconded by Mr. Probst and carried. lir. Probst moved that the ordinance as amended be adopted, seconded by Mr. Hammond and on roll call carried by the following vote:- Ayes: Councilmen Hammond, Majors, Morris, Probst, Smith, Stewart and President Roth, (7). loes:Hone.
