JANUARY 27TH, 1919.
The roll was called and Councilmen Latham, Noy and Otis were noted present.
Absent: Councilman Fro1sL and President Majors.
Because of the absence of both Council-president Majors and Vice- resident
Probst, Mr. Lathan moved that Mr. Otis perform the duties of President of the
Council seconded by Mr. Noy and carried. Hr. Otis thereupon took the chair.
1. Mr. Otis presented Senate Bills No. 232 and No 234, introduced by
Senators Otis and Breed respectively, both of which provided for the confirmation
of the lease entered into with the United States Government, by the Cities of Alameda
and Ockland. They were ordered filed.
2. A communication was received from the Board of Library Trustees asking that
Section 24 of Article IV be amended by adding the :ords "and in the Library fund".
Ordered filed.
Mr. Latham moved that the Council resolve itself into a Committee of the Thole
seconded by Mr. Noy and carried.
After a recess of one hour Er. Latham moved that the Committee of the Thole
rise and resolve itself into a session of the Council, seconded by Er. Noy and
carried. Upon reconvening Councilmen Latham, Noy and Otis were noted present.
Absent:Councilman Probst and President Majors.
Mr. Latham moved that the Council adjourn to meet Tuesday eveninsp;, January 28th,
at 8 o'clock in adjourned regular session, seconded by Er. Noy and carried.
There being no further business to transact the Council adjourned to meet in
adjourned , lar session Tuesday evening, January 28-tPh, 1919, at 8 o'clock.
