ACCEPT A GRANT OF EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
FROM THE CASITAS ALAMEDA HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
FOR A SEWER PUMP STATION EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN
THE COMMON AREA IN TRACT 2936 (VERDEMAR DRIVE AND
FLORA VISTA DRIVE) IN EXCHANGE FOR VALUABLE
CONSIDERATION AND DIRECT THE RECORDING OF THE GRANT
OF EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Alameda Public Works Department has developed a Capital
Improvement Plan to rehabilitate its sanitary sewer pump stations, and
WHEREAS, the plans for the Group 2 - Sewer Pump Station Renovations for
Reliability and Safety Improvements Project are reliant on the need of a permanent
sewer easement within the common area of Tract 2936; and
WHEREAS, the Casitas Alameda Homeowners Association, the owner of the
common area within Tract 2936, has agreed to convey to the City of Alameda a
permanent easement within the common area for sewer pump station purposes in
exchange for $1,000; and
WHEREAS, the interests of the City of Alameda, its residents, and businesses
will benefit by the improved sanitary sewer pump station.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of City of Alameda
does hereby authorize the Mayor to accept the permanent sewer easement located
within the Common Area in Tract 2936, as set forth and described in the attached Grant
of Easement, and direct the City Clerk to record in Alameda County the Grant of
Easement.

Land Description ofaparcel of land situate in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, same being a portion of Lot A of Block 4 as created by that certain map entitled "Tract
2Q38—CaSit@S Alameda, Unit 2" filed OU August 1T.1987.iD Book 55ai Page 53[f Maps, Official
Records of said County, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning eka point on the southeasterly line of said Lot A and being the southeasterly corner
of the Pump Station E8nomeDi as shown on said map; Thence along said southeasterly line,
South 27°O5'O2" West -8.9O feet; Thence crossing Lot A for the following four /4\ courses: (1)
North 62"53'58" West -7.04 feet, (2) North 17"53'50" West -1O.12 feet, /3\ North 27"O4'DO"
East - 1.74 feet 1O the southwesterly corner Ofsaid Pump Station Easement, and (4) along the
southwesterly line of said Pump Station Easement, South 02" 53' 58" East - 15.00 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
Containing 108 square feet, more orless.
