APPROVING WORKFORCE CHANGES IN THE CITY ATTORNEY'
OFFICE, FINANCE DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
DEPARTMENT, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND POLICE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, in order to provide a workforce that is appropriately classified
and compensated the following workforce changes are proposed as part of the
operating and capital budget mid-cycle update for fiscal year 2016-17.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that following workforce changes are approved and that the City's
authorized positions are so modified resulting in an overall increase of three
positions to the City's total position allocation:
1. City Attorney's Office
• Add one Assistant City Attorney 11
2. Finance Department
• Add one Accountant 11
• Add one Accounting Technician
3. Public Works Department
• Add one Construction Inspection & Survey Supervisor
• Delete on Construction Inspector
• Add one Public Works Project Manager I
• Delete one Assistant Engineer
• Add on Public Works Project Manager I I I
• Delete Public Works Project Manager II
• Add one Program Specialist 11
• Delete on Program Specialist 1
4. Information Technology Department
• Add one Information Technology Systems Coordinator
• Delete one Technology Services Coordinator
• Move 100% to General Fund one Technology Services
Coordinator
5. Police Department
• Add one Crime Prevention Tech
• Delete one Crime Prevention Specialist
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 71h of June 2016, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Ezzy Ashcraft, and Oddie — 3.
NOES: Vice Mayor Matarrese and Mayor Spencer — 2.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
