ACCEPTING. CONVEYANCE FROM HAROLD C. WARD AND
FRANCES M. WARD, HIS WIFE, OF CERTAIN...REAL. ...

THEREOF.
VNDiEl1Ll, a certain indenture dated the lah day of August, 1947, made by
and between Harold C. Ward and Frances 1j. 'hard, his wife, as first parties, and the
City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, as second party, was, on or about said
date, executed and delivered by said grantors to the said City of Alameda; and
7555555, by said indenture said grantors Fronted to the City of Alarneda
all that certain real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda,
State of 551 ifornia, and bounded and described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL NO. 1
Being a portion of that certain 14.63 acre parcel
of land described in Quitclaim Deed from American "rust
Company, a corporation, to Oakland mitle Insurance and
Guaranty Company, a corporation, dated Sav 25, 1.936 and
recorded May 35, 1937 in Book 3407 of Official Records of
Alameda County, page 149, described as follows
Commencing at Tide land Survey Stake No. 8, as listed
on Table II meanders of Salt Marshes according to "Map No. 2 of
Sal t Marsh and Tide Lands situated in the County of Alameda,
State of California," prepared by order of the Board of Tide
Land Commissioners and on file in the office of said Commissioners
in San Francisco, certified copies thereof having been filed with
the Surveyor General of the State of California, and with the
County Recorder of the City and County of San Francisco; and
running, thence South 25* 34 20" East 50.92 feet; thence North
55* 401 3Q! 161-06 feet: thence South 53* 19' 30" East 550
feet more or less (540.56 feet by calculation) to a point in the
east line of Lot 14 in. Section 30 as said lot and section are
shown on that certain map entitled, "Sale Map No. 10 Salt Marsh
and Tide Laids, situate in the County of Alameda, State of Cali-
fornia," prepared under the direction of the Board of Tide Land
Commissioners, by O. F. Allardt, Chief Engineer, filed June 9,
1868 in Book 17 of Maps, at page 30, in the office of the County
Recorder of Alameda County; thence Forth along the east line of
Lots 14 and 3 in aforesaid Section 30, 554.27 feet, more or less,
to a point in a line drawn parallel with the center lino of
Naitiand Drive, formerly South Shore Drive, as said drive is
described in that certain grant from E. E. Stone to the City
of Alameda, dated December 9, 1924, and recorded March 2, 1925
in Book 899 of Official Records of Alameda County, pale 295,
and distant 560 feet northeasterly therefrom, measured at right
angles thereto. Said point being the actual point of beginning
for the parcel herein described; continuing thence north along
the east line of said lot 3, 967.61 feet, more or less, to the
northeast corner of said lot; thence West along the North line
of Lots 3 and 4 in Section 30, 960 feet, more cr less (971.31
feet by calculation) to a point in a line drawn parallel with
the center line of said Maitland Drive and distant 280 foot
northeasterly therefrom, measured at right angles thereto;
thence South 33* 19' 30" East parallel with the said center
line of Maitland Drive 71.81 feet; thence East 167.65 feet;

California," prepared under the direction of the Board of
Tideland Commissioners, by G. Y. Allardt, Chief Engineer,
filed June 9, 1888 in Book 17 of Maps, at page 30, in the
office of the County Recorder of Alameda County; and running
thence North along the east line of said Lot 28, 475.74 feet,
more or less, to a point in a line drawn parallel with the
center line of tiaitland Drive, formerly South Shore Drive, as
said drive is described in that certain grant from E. B. Stone
to the City of Alameda, dated. December 9, 1924, and recorded
March 2, 1925 in Book 399 of Official Records of Alameda
County, page 295, and distant 250 feet northeasterly therefrom,
measured at right angles thereto; said point being, the actual

to a point equally distant from the north and south lines of

in aforesaid line parallel to Maitland Drive; thence along

recorded in Book of Maps No. 17, at page 30; thence North 35*
02' 50" West 39.68 feet; thence North 56* 40' 30" East 185.33
feet to a point; said point being the actual point of beginning
for the parcel herein deacribed; thence North 56.i: 40' 30" East
280 feet; thence North 33* 19' 30" West 50 feet; thence South
33* 19' 30" East 50 feet, to the point of beginning.

A portion of that certain 14.63 acre parcel of land

feet; thence South 56* 40' 30" West 140.00 feet to the ACTUAL
POINT OP BEGINNING.
Reference is made to said indenture for further particuaars;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda did, on August 19, 1947, accept said con-
veyance and acquired possession of the above described parcel of real property;
NOW, THEBEnRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL 01 '105 CITY GF ALAMEDA
that the aforementioned indenture be, and the same is hereby, accepted on behalf
of the City of Alameda, and said City Council, acting for and in behalf of said
City, hereby consents to the recordation of said indenture and orders this Resolu-
tion to be attached thereto, as required by Section 1150 of the Civil Code of the
State of California.
