APPROVING FINAL MAP AND ACCEPTING DEDICATIONS AND
EASEMENTS FOR PARCEL MAP 10600 (BUILDING 40, BLADIUM)
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda submitted an application PLN16-0544 to create a
single 6.76-acre parcel at Alameda Point; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan designation for property is Alameda Point Mixed
Use; and
WHEREAS, the property is located within the Alameda Point Adaptive Reuse
Zoning Sub-district; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan and Zoning District regulations encourage adaptive
reuse of the buildings in the Naval Air Station Alameda Historic District (Historic
District); and
WHEREAS, the subdivision of the property for conveyance purposes will
facilitate adaptive reuse and reinvestment in the property and the Historic District; and
WHEREAS, the Final Map creates two public right-of-ways for Saratoga Street
and Seaplane North consistent with the Town Center Plan, and two designated
remainder parcels; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a noticed public hearing and examined all
pertinent materials on January 23, 2017 and unanimously recommended that the
tentative parcel map be approved subject to the conditions of approval; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 15237, the City Council unanimously
approved Tentative Parcel Map 10600 on February 21, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that the Final Map of Parcel Map 10600 be, and hereby is, approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said easements offered for dedication to the
public have been accepted on behalf of the public for use in conformity with the terms of
the offers of dedication.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular
meeting assembled on the 5th day of July, 2017, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Ezzy Ashcraft, Matarrese, Oddie, Vella and
Mayor Spencer — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
