WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the construction of a sani-
tary sewer along the north side of Otis Drive from Post Street to the Krusi Pump
Station westerly of Court Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for said work,, which Specifications and Provisions are numbered PVV 10-47-11
and were filed in. the office of the City Clerk of said City on October 7, 1947;
NOW., THEREFORE, BE Ti RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAT,1EDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed, as
aforesaid., be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci

RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8 -*05 o'clock P. M., on Tuesday, October 21, 1947,
for the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and
processes, implements, tools and machinery, except as otherwise specified, neces-
sary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications
and Provisions. 3ids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall {'Proposal
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on, the outside,
for Construction of Sanitary Sewer on Otis Drive,tt or similar designation.
Contract,, if awarded, will be awarded., sub.-ect to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all. bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City 1,gall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed, to advertise, in the Alameda Times
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 7-11-h day of October, 1947,by the following
vote, to wit-...
AYE'S: Councilmen Osborn, Sweeney and President Branscheid, (3).
NOES.- None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Anderson and Jones, (2).
