WHEREAS, a certain option 0--'L' purchase of real property dated the 14th
day of September, 1948, made by and between David D. Christy and Gene S. Christy,
his wife, as parties of the first part, and the City of Alameda, a municipal
corporation, as party of the sec ' ond part, was, on or about said date, executed
and delivered by said David B. Christy and Gene S. Christy, his wife, to the
Cit, of Alameda, and
WHEREAS, by said option said David B. Christ,,, and Gene S. Christy,
his wife, granted to the City of Ala.raeda an option to purchase all of that certain
real property situate, lying and being in the said City of Alameda, and more
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
PORTION of the parcel of land described in the deed by Antone Garese
and hate Garese to Joe Garese and Frank Garese dated January 10, 1929, recorded
January 28, 1929 in book 1995 of Official. Records of Alameda County, at page 422,
described as follows:
BEGIE-1.,111T"'T at a point on the eastern line of said parcel of land, distant
thereon southerly 121.36 feet from the southern line of Pacific Avenue; and
running thence along said eastern line southerl,'r 24.61+ feet to the northeastern
line of the parcel of land secondly described inthe deed by Southern Pacific
Company to Central Pacific Company' dated December 28,1 1926, recorded February 25,
1927, in book 1.566 of Official Records of Alameda County, at page 29; thence
along the last named line northwesterly on a curve to the left with a radius of
2311.88 feet, a distance of 53.7 feet, more or less, to the western line of said
first above mentioned parcel of land; thence along the last named line northerly
26.49 feet to a point distant thereon southerly 99.51 feet from said line of
Pacific Avenue; and thence in a direct line southeasterly 54.57 feet to the
point of beginning,
on condition that said option be exercised by the said City of Alameda on or
before September 15, 1949; and
WHEREAS, the said City of Alameda did, on or about said date, accept
said option;

that the aforementioned Option be, and the same is hereby, accepted on behalf
of the City of Alameda, and said City Council, acting for and on behalf of said
City, hereby consents to the recordation of said Option and orders this resolu-
tion to be attached thereto, as required by Section 1158 of the Civil Code of
the State of California
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of October, 1948, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (5).
NUES: ;lone .
ABSENT: None.
