WHEREAS, -the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Pro-
visions and Plans for the surfacin7 of the basketball court at Godfrey Park,
Bay Farm island, which are nuffbered PW 12-51-18 and were filed in the office of
the City.Clerk on December 4, 1951;
YOW THEREFORE, BE TT RRESOLVED BY THIE, COUNCIL 07 T-,Iu:-," CITY OF ALAPTE11DA
that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plan, numbered and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
PESOLVED, _'1'1?T'1_`E._i, that the performance and completion of the work,
specified in said. ,S7evif' icatlons and Provisions be, and the sane is hereby
authorized.
RESOLVED,FU!-','THE:R, that the Council of the City of Alameda w!12 receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock: P. 7. on Tuesday, December 19, 1951,
for the furnishing to the City of Alaneda of all labor, materials, methods,and
processes, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in
accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the
City Clerk, in the City Hall , in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and
plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for Turfacln7 of Basketball Court at
Godfrey Park", or similar desigyation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject tc the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. Me right is reserved to rnject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by anT prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
Tihe CILty Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordince with the provisions,of this
resolution and of said Specificatiors ard Provisions.
To the undersl7ned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regular2y introduced and ado7ted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in re7ular meetlr7 assembled on the 4th day of December, 1951, by the followinf--',
