WHEREAS, the Alameda Belt Line, a corporation, did on the 18th day of
December, 1951, present its petition.and analicatior to this Council wherein it
prayed that permission be granted to it and its successor, and assigns, a permit
to construct, maintain, use and overate two spur tracks of standard SauFe upor.
and across Clamont Avenue and Oak Street, in the CiQ of Alameda, the center lines
and location of said tracks being particularly set forth in said petition and
application, which said petition and application are by reference made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Council that the said
spur tracks as prayed for are necessary in order thRt the said Alameda Belt Line
T° ay prcporly conduct and carry on its business in said City of Alameda-,
NOW THEREXRE, EE !T RESOIVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE GTTY OF ALAMEDA
that there be and there hereby is granted to the Alamada Belt Line, a corporation,
its successors and assigns, a permit to construct', maintain, use and operate two
spur tracks of standard gaugc •upon and across Clement Avenue and Oak Street, in
the City of AlarieCiel. , as described in said potition and application;
That this permit to construct, maintain, use and operate said spur
tracks is granted subject:
(1) To such regulations and conditions as noy be prescribed from time
to time by the City Council of the Gity of Alameda.
(2) To the use of said spur tracks for the transportation of freight
for hire.
(3) That said spur tracks must conform to the grade of the road over
-which. they pass,
(4) That they most be operatod under such restricticns as not to.,
interfere with the use of onid read by Lho public.
(5) `..... at this perrit shall be revocable at the ploasurc of the City
Council of the City of Alameda.
(6) That if no rechanical warning signal be installed at the said crosg-
ing the Alameda Belt Line shall provide some persor to warn hho traveling public
whenevnr said crossing is being used or abort to be usid by its locomotives, cars,
or other equipmant.
