1ESOLUKuh NO. 4589
AITH DEEP SORROW, the Council of the City of Alameda records the
death of une of Alameda's pioneer businessman, UEORG VY. who estab-
iished and operated a grocery store for forty years and proved his faith in
the future development of the coifzaunity. he also sUowed his reat spirit of
civic duty by serving the people of the City from februaTy, 1938, to June, 1950,
as a memuer of the Social Service Board.

active service for the benefit of the citizens of the coiariunity, the Council
hereby expresses its sense of personal loss in Lis devise, and its full appre-
ciaiion for his untiriLg and wholehearted efforts in tare best interests of the
