INITIEPREASIP the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the alteration and painting of the Police Departnent at the Alameda
City Hall, which are numbered PW 5-52-8 and were filed in the office of the City
Clerk on June 17, 1952;

that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, nurbered and filed
as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOIXEDY FUI171'111121R, .that the performance and conpletion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTEER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'c1cck P. Y. on Tuesday, July 1, 1952, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes,
tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance
with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk,
in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on
the outside "Proposal for Alterations and Painting of the Police Department at the,
Alameda City Hall", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded sObject to the provisions of the.
Charter of the City of Alaneda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Ball, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advortise, in the, Alameda Times -Star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this reso-
lution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
is the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was,
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regulai meeting assembled on the 17th day of June, 1952, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Branschaid, Jones and Sweeney, (4).
