APTOINTING A DEPUTY PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER
WEEREAS, the Alameda County Tuberculosis and Health Association is under-
taking, at its own cost and expense, a research study to check with physicians and.
patients in the City of Alamoda an the action taken by persons whose chest photo-
graphs were found to be "suspicious" in character; and
WEEREAS, the information desired in the aforementioned study is of a
privileged character and will be given by the physicians only to a member of the
staff of the Alameda City Health. Department; and
WEEREASI the Council of the City of Alameda is of the opinion that it is
desirable that the contemplated research study be made;
NOW 'iUEREFO:FLE., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C0131,11CIL OF TI EP CITY OF ALAITEDA that
Miss Helen Stapley, of the Alameda County Tuberculosis and Health Association, be,
and she is hereby appointed a Deputy Public Health Officer of the City of Alameda
for the sole purpose of conducting in Alameda said research study;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the service rendered by Miss Helen Stapley
shall be without compensation fromtheCity of Alameda.
