UnionWHEREAS, public convenience and the economy of the entire East Bay Area
have been seriously affected for several weeks by the lack of public transportation
caused by a strike of Key System employees; and
WHEREAS, by negotiation, the area of disagreement between the Key System
and the -n narrowed to the point that a settlement of the
existing
differences should now be possible* and
'WHEREAS, the Key System InvestigationCommittee
that it will not oppose . an immediate interim rate increase,, if such
increase is found to be s• by Public Utilities Commissionof

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE t OF ALAMEDA th
the Key System Transit Lines and the union labor organizations concerned be, and
they are hereby,a • requested to immediately resume negotiationslooking
toward a settlementof differences ana to continue such negotiations
