AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 INTEGRATED WASTE
FUND BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE IN THE AMOUNT OF
$115,019 AND INCREASE EXPENDITURES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$115,019 TO RECEIVE AND APPROPRIATE GRANTS FUNDS FROM
THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING
AND RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE) FOR SENATE BILL 1383
IMPLEMENTATION
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2021, the City Council adopted a budget representing the
financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the Fiscal Year
beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2021 the City of Alameda adopted an ordinance
amending Alameda Municipal Code Chapter 21 (Solid Waste and Recycling) to comply
with Senate Bill 1383; and
WHEREAS, on January 26, 2022 the Public Works Department applied for a grant
from CalRecycle for SB 1383 implementation; and
WHEREAS, on April 27, 2022, the City of Alameda was awarded the CalRecycle
grant for $115,019; and
WHEREAS, staff is proposing that the Integrated Waste Fund (262) budget be
adjusted for FY 2022-23 to receive and appropriate grant funds in a grant project for
Senate Bill 1383 Implementation (G21210) as follows:

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report and recommendations of the
City Manager on the budget amendments and has determined that the budget
amendments are both fair and appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the budget amendments to the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Budget is approved, by increasing
revenue and expenditure allocations by $115,019.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 21St day of June 2022, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Herrera Spencer, Knox White,
