APPROVING WORKFORCE CHANGE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT TO UPGRADE ONE EXISTING EXECUTIVE
ASSISTANT POSITION TO AN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
COORDINATOR EFFECTIVE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23
WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the City of Alameda Public Works Department
has a workforce that is appropriately allocated, the below workforce change is being
proposed beginning Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-23; and
WHEREAS, in order to support existing business needs of the department, it is
recommended to upgrade one existing Executive Assistant position to an Administrative
Services Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, due to an unexpected vacancy, staff evaluated the work being
performed by the position and finds the current needs of the department include the
analytical and work planning knowledge, skills, and abilities expected of the
Administrative Services Coordinator classification.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the changes as outlined below are so modified, resulting in an upgrade of one position
for FY 2022-23
o Public Works
• Upgrade one Executive Assistant to Administrative Service Coordinator
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 12th day of July 2022, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Herrera Spencer, Knox White,
Vella and Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft — 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
