Resolution 16169 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16169
AMENDING THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SALARY
SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE JUNE 5, 2024 TO REFLECT AN
APPROXIMATELY 22% INCREASE TO THE GENERAL
MANAGER - ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL POWER CLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, staff has conducted a survey of comparable Cities with municipal
electrical utilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to remain competitive with comparable
employers; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are in line with the goal to assist with
competitiveness of the City of Alameda for attraction and retention of qualified staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommend to increase the General Manager — AMP's annual
salary by approximately 22%, resulting in a salary range increase of $63,104, effective
June 5, 2024; and
WHEREAS, AMP and the Council of the City of Alameda has considered the
financial impact of the increase and determined there are sufficient funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda
hereby approves and adopts the salary schedule amendment as outlined below.

Ashcraft—4.
NOES: Councilmember Herrera Spencer— 1.
