Resolution 16172 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16172
ESTABLISHING THE APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR
2024-25
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIIIB of the Constitution of the State of California,
the City Council of the City of Alameda is required to establish an appropriations limit for
Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25; and
WHEREAS, the Appropriations Limit has been determined in accordance with
uniform guidelines for Article XIIIB of the California Constitution; and
WHEREAS, the voters approved Proposition 111 in June 1990, which allows for
new adjustment formulas for the appropriations limit calculation that is responsive to local
growth issues; and
WHEREAS, the adjustment factors used to arrive at the FY 2024-25 limit are as
follows:
City Population change of 1.21%;
Non-residential New Construction change of 4.99%
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
said Council hereby establishes the Appropriations Limit in the amount of$168,614,381
for FY 2024-25.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 18th day of June 2024, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Herrera Spencer, Jensen, and
Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft—4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Vella — 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
