Resolution 16195 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16195 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 CAPITAL BUDGET BY REDUCING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C11000 BY $400,000, REDUCING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C33000 BY $200,000, REDUCING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C62000 BY $300,000, REDUCING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C66100 BY $400,000, INCREASING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C65600 BY $1 ,300,000, AND APPROPRIATING $207,855 FROM FUND 235, COUNTY MEASURE BB PARATRANSIT TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 65600 TO INCREASE REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C65600 BY $1,507,855. WHEREAS, on June 18, 2024, the City Council of the City of Alameda approved Resolution 16173 adopting the Fiscal Years (FY) 2024-25 Operating and Capital Budget; and WHEREAS, approximately $5,336,107 is currently budgeted in the Pavement Management Capital Improvement Project (CIP) C11000 of which $400,000 is available for reappropriation; and WHEREAS, Fund 235, County Measure BB Paratransit has a fund balance of approximately $231 ,787 of which $207,855 is available for appropriation; and WHEREAS, approximately $290,509 is currently budgeted in the Green Infrastructure CIP C33000 of which $200,000 is available for reappropriation; and WHEREAS, approximately $692,785 is currently budgeted in the Safe Routes to School CIP C62000 of.which $300,000 is available for reappropriation; and WHEREAS, $400,000 is available for reappropriation in the Transit Stop Enhancements CIP C66100; and WHEREAS, to construct the Central Avenue Safety Improvements Project additional funds are needed in the Central Ave Safety Improvements CIP C65600; and WHEREAS, Resolution 15849 (Making Significant Safety Improvements to Alameda Streets in 2022 and Beyond to End Fatalities and Serious Injuries) identified the Central Avenue Safety Improvements, between Pacific Avenue and Sherman Street, as a priority project to improve street safety in the City of Alameda; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $400,000 from CIP C11000, Pavement Management to CIP C65600; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to allocation $207,855 from Fund 235, County Measure BB Paratransit to CIP C65600; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $200,000 from CIP C33000, Green Infrastructure to CIP C65600; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate$300,000 from CIP C62000, Safe Routes to School to CIP C65600; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $400,000 from CIP 66100, Transit Stop Enhancements to CIP C65600; and WHEREAS, total proposed changes are summarized in the following table Fund/Project Amount Fund 235, County Measure BB Paratransit $207,855 Appropriate Expenditure CIP C11000 Pavement Management Reduce Contractual Services Expense and $400,000 Reallocate CIP C33000 Green Infrastructure Reduce Contractual Services Expense and $200,000 Reallocate CIP 62000 Safe Routes to School Reduce Contractual Services Expense and $300,000 Reallocate CIP 66100 Transit Stop Enhancements Reduce Contractual Services Expense and $400,000 Reallocate CIP 65600 Central Ave Safety Improvements Increase Expenditure Budget $1,507,855 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby amends the FY 2024-25 Operating and Capital Budget by reappropriating $400,000 from CIP C11000, $200,000 from CIP C33000, $300,000 from CIP C62000, and $400,000 from CIP C66100 to CIP C65600, and appropriating $207,855 from Fund 235, County Measure BB Paratransit to CIP C56500 for a total revenue and expenditure increase not to exceed $1,507,855.
