Resolution 16251 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16251
APPROVING WORKFORCE CHANGES FOR FY 2024 - 2025
WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the City has a workforce that is
appropriately allocated, classified and compensated, the following changes are
proposed as part of the Mid-Year FY 2024-25 Budget Update; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure positions are correctly allocated based on
the work being performed, it is recommended to add one position, upgrade one
permanent and one limited term position to permanent higher classifications,
and downgrade one classification position to a lower classification; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the workforce changes as outlined below are so modified,
resulting in the deletion of one position, an overall increase of two permanent
positions, the upgrade of one position, and the downgrade one classification
across departments for the Fiscal Year 2024-25.
• Alameda Municipal Power
o Add one Utility Analyst
• Planning, Building & Transportation
o Delete one Permit Technician III
o Upgrade one Administrative Technician I to one Senior
Management Analyst and convert to permanent position
• Recreation & Park Department
o Downgrade one Equipment Operator to Gardener
o Upgrade one Parks Maintenance Foreperson to Parks
Maintenance Supervisor
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 4th of March 2025, by the following vote to wit:
