Resolution 16256 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16256
AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL POWER UNREPRESENTED
SALARY SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE APRIL 6, 2025, TO REFLECT AN
APPROXIMATELY 20% INCREASE TO THE ASSISTANT GENERAL
MANAGER — ADMINISTRATION, AN APPROXIMATELY 13%
INCREASE TO THE ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER — CUSTOMER
& ENERGY RESOURCES, AND AN APPROXIMATELY 25% TO THE
ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER — ENGINEERING & OPERATIONS
CLASSIFICATIONS.
WHEREAS, staff has conducted surveys of comparable Cities with municipal electrical
utilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to remain competitive with comparable
employers; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are in line with the goal to assist with
competitiveness of the City of Alameda for attraction and retention of qualified staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommend to increase the Assistant General Manager —
Administration annual salary by approximately 20%, resulting in a salary range increase of
$44,910 effective April 6, 2025; and
WHEREAS, staff recommend to increase the Assistant General Manager—Customer &
Energy Resources annual salary by approximately 13%, resulting in a salary range increase of
$29,191 effective April 6, 2025; and
WHEREAS, staff recommend to increase the Assistant General Manager— Engineering
& Operations annual salary by approximately 25%, resulting in a salary range increase of
$56,137 effective April 6, 2025; and
WHEREAS, AMP and the Council of the City of Alameda has considered the financial
impact of the increase and determined there are sufficient funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda hereby
approves and adopts the salary schedule amendment as outlined below.
