Resolution 16306 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16306 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 CAPITAL BUDGET BY REDUCING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C55300 BY $75,000, REDUCING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS OF MEASURE BB PARATRANSIT FUNDS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C61000 BY $200,000, AND APPROPRIATING $2,100,000 OF SAFE ROUTES TO BART (SR2B) GRANT FUNDS TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 65300 TO INCREASE REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C65300 BY $2,375,000. WHEREAS, on June 18, 2024, the City Council of the City of Alameda approved Resolution 16173 adopting the Fiscal Years (FY) 2024-25 Operating and Capital Budget; and WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) C65300 Clement Avenue/Tilden Way Improvements has $5,217,000 allocated from FY 2019-21 Capital Budget, $6,481,000 from FY 2023-25, and $68,114 from Right-of-Way interest; and WHEREAS, approximately $75,000 is currently budgeted in the Dog Park Construction Capital Improvement Project (CIP) C55300 and available for reappropriation; and WHEREAS, approximately $379,000 is currently budgeted in the Transit Stop Enhancements Capital Improvement Project (CIP) C61000 of which $200,000 of Measure BB paratransit funding is available for reappropriation; and WHEREAS, the Clement Avenue/Tilden Way Improvements project includes a new dog park and new fully accessible transit stop enhancements within the project scope; and WHEREAS, to construct the Clement Avenue/Tilden Way Improvements project, additional funds are needed in the Clement Avenue/Tilden Way Improvements CIP C65300; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda and San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) entered into a funding agreement that awarded $2.1 million to the City to include safety improvements at the intersection of Clement Avenue/Broadway to be included with the improvements for the Clement Avenue/Tilden Way Improvements project; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to allocate $75,000 from CIP C55300 to CIP C65300; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to allocate $200,000 of Measure BB paratransit funding from CIP C61000 to CIP 65300; and WHEREAS, staff proposes to appropriate $2,100,000 of Safe Routes to BART (SR2B) Grant Funds to CIP 65300; and WHEREAS, total proposed changes are summarized in the following table.
