Resolution 16297 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16297 AMENDING THE CITY OF ALAMEDA SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE RENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR. WHEREAS, as part of the Rent Program transition from the Housing Authority to the City of Alameda in 2022, the City Attorney recommended, and the Council concurred, that staff salaries remain generally consistent between the Housing Authority and the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to remain competitive with comparable employers; and WHEREAS, in light of ongoing equity review of all Executive Management positions within the City, staff has reviewed the Rent Program Director's position both externally (by reviewing comparable positions at the Housing Authority) and internally (by comparing with Department Director positions generally); and WHEREAS, based on this review, the City Attorney recommends that the Rent Program Director's weekly hours and salary be adjusted so that it remains consistent with comparable Housing Authority positions and City Department Head positions; and WHEREAS, accordingly, the City Attorney recommends increasing the Rent Program Director's weekly hours from 37.5 to 40, and increasing the associated salary range by approximately 8% effective July 1, 2025; and WHEREAS, the Rent Program Director position is entirely funded by the Rent Program fund, and there are sufficient funds within the Rent Program fund to accommodate this proposed adjustment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda hereby approves and adopts the salary schedule amendment as outlined below.
