AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 BUDGET BY
TRANSFERRING $1,825,023 OF PUBLIC SAFETY DEVELOPMENT
IMPACT FEE FUND (FUND 308) BALANCE TO THE VEHICLE
REPLACEMENT FUND (FUND 601)AND INCREASING AUTHORIZED
EXPENDITURE IN THE VEHICLE REPLACEMENT FUND (FUND 601)
OPERATING BUDGET BY $2,768,465
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2025, the City Council did adopt a budget representing
the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the Fiscal Year (FY)
beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, a fire rescue vehicle has exceeded its 12 years of frontline service life
expectancy and requires replacement; and
WHEREAS, two ambulances are approaching their 6 years of frontline service life
expectancy and require replacement so they can be transitioned to reserve; and
WHEREAS, $943,442 has accrued in the Vehicle Replacement Fund (Fund 601)
for the fire rescue truck and ambulances; and
WHEREAS, the additional funding needed to make the purchases is available in
the Public Safety Development Impact Fee Fund (Fund 308); and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report and recommendations of the
City Manager on the budget amendment and has determined that the budget amendment
is both fair and appropriate.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the budget amendment for Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget is approved to transfer
$1,825,023 from the Public Safety Development Impact Fee Fund (Fund 308) balance to
the Vehicle Replacement Fund (Fund 601); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda amends the
Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget to increase authorized expenditure in the Vehicle
Replacement Fund (Fund 601) Operating Budget by $2,768,465.

regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting
assembled on the 7th day of October 2025, by the following vote to wit:
