Resolution 16351 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16351 AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONSENT TO SUBLEASE 8,000 RENTABLE SQUARE FEET OF BUILDING 167, LOCATED 1500 FERRY POINT, BETWEEN MATSON NAVIGATION COMPANY, INC. A HAWAII CORPORATION, AS SUBLANDLORD, AND MARY SUSAN UBBELOHDE, DBA AS LOISOS+UBBELOHDE, AS SUBTENANT WHEREAS, the City of Alameda (City) and Matson Navigation Company, Inc. (Matson) entered into a 10-year lease for Building 167, located at 1500 Ferry Point Rd., Alameda CA (Building 167) commencing on December 1, 2015; and WHEREAS, on March 5, 2020, the City provided consent to sublease approximately 8,000 rentable square feet of Building 167 to Mary Susan Ubbelohde, doing business as Loisos+Ubbelohde; and WHEREAS, on March 26, 2025, the City approved a First Amendment to Consent to Sublease that extended the term of the sublease through November 25, 2025; and WHEREAS, Matson exercised its first renewal option under the Lease, and on September 18, 2025, the City and Matson entered into the First Amendment to the Lease which extended the term of the Lease through November 30, 2030; and WHEREAS, Matson has requested the City's consent to extend the term of its sublease with Loisos+Ubbelohde to November 30, 2030, via a Second Amendment to Consent to Sublease. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the Interim City Manager is authorized to execute the Second Amendment to Consent to Sublease between Matson Navigation Company, Inc., and Mary Susan Ubbelohde, doing business as Loisos+Ubbelohde, for approximately 8,000 rentable square feet of Building 167, extending the sublease term to November 30, 2030. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of January 2026, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Boller, Jensen, Pryor and Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft—4.
