AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 BUDGET INCREASING
REVENUE APPROPRIATIONS IN GRANTS FUND (FUND 222) BY$10,000
FOR A GRANT RECEIVED FOR THE LIBRARY AND INCREASING
EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS IN THE LIBRARY FUND BY $10,000
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2025, the City Council approved a Budget representing the
financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the Fiscal Year beginning July
1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, on October 22, 2025, the Library Department received notice from Carnegie
Corporation that it had been awarded a$10,000 gift in commemoration of the 1,671 public libraries
funded by Andrew Carnegie; and
WHEREAS, the grant has no restrictions on how the funds may be used and the Library
will identify a use for the funds that ensures a significant community impact; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Grant Fund (Fund 222)
Operating Budget increasing appropriations $10,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council hereby Amends the Fiscal
Year 2025-26 Grant Fund (Fund 222) Revenue Budget and the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Library Fund
(Fund 210) Expense Budget increasing appropriations $10,000.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the
20th day of January 2026, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Boller, Daysog, Jensen, Pryor and Mayor Ezzy
Ashcraft—5.
NOES: None.
