CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16375
AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 REVENUE BUDGET
OF THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FUND (C75500)
AND THE EXPENDITURE BUDGET OF THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (20321843), EACH BY
$550,000 FOR THE DAY CENTER RELOCATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2025, the City Council adopted a budget
representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for
the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2027; and
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2025, City Council approved an agreement
with Mar Con Engineering Inc. for construction of the Alameda Day Center
relocation project; and
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2025, City Council approved the Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Action Plan which included an allocation of
$550,000 of capital project funds for the Alameda Day Center relocation project;
and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report and recommendations
of the City Manager on the budget amendments and has determined that the
budget amendments are both fair and appropriate; and
WHEREAS, this budget ensures that the City of Alameda has exercised
prudent judgment in its fiduciary responsibility as guardian of the public tax dollars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda amends the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget to increase the expenditure
budget of the Community Development Block Grant (203221843) by $550,000 and
increase the revenue budget of Capital Improvement Project Fund (C75500) by
$550,000 for the Day Center Relocation Project.
