Resolution 13670oved CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13 6 7 0 APPROVING THE OPEN SPACE ACQUISITION FUND IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING $1,000,000 AS A CITY MATCH FOR THE STATE URBAN PARK ACT OF 2001 GRANT APPLICATION FOR ESTUARY PARK WHEREAS, on October 21, 2003, the City Council approved the final passage of Ordinance No. 2909, approving the sale to Harbor Bay Storage of 6.194 acres of excess property including lands vacated from the realignment of the Maitland Drive/Harbor Bay Parkway Project; and WHEREAS, on November 4, 2003, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 13662, authorizing the City Manager to submit a Proposition 40 grant application for the y. Urban Act of 2001 with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to develop a proposed Estuary Park to be located in the vicinity between Oak and Walnut Streets north of Clement Avenue; and 0 WHEREAS, funds are anticipated to be available for the initial funding of an Open Space Acquisition Fund in the Capital Improvement Projects budget from the proceeds of sale of excess property to Harbor Bay Storage; and WHEREAS, the Council may appropriate $1,000,000 as a City match toward the State Urban Act of 2001 Grant Application for the Estuary Park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby: 1. Authorizes the establishment of the Open Space Acquisition Fund in the Capital Improvement Budget and Appropriates $1,000,000 as a City Match toward the State Urban Park Act of 2001 Grant Application for Estuary Park. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of December, 2003, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Gilmore, Kerr, Matarrese, and Mayor Johnson - 5.
