TUESDAY - - - SEPTEMBER 21, 2004 - - - 6:00 P.M.
Mayor Johnson convened the Special Meeting at 6:45 p.m.
Roll Call - Present: Councilmembers Daysog, Gilmore, Kerr,
Matarrese and Mayor Johnson - 5.
[Note: Councilmember Matarrese was present via
teleconference from Windsor Park Hotel, 2116
Kalorama Road NW, Washington DC.]
Absent: None.
The Special Meeting was adjourned to Closed Session to consider:
(04 -489) Public Employment - (54957); Title: City Manager.
(04 -490) Conference with Labor Negotiators; Agency Negotiators:
Human Resources Director and Craig Jory; Employee Organizations:
Alameda City Employee Association, Management and Confidential
Employees Association, and Police Association Non - Sworn.
Following the Closed Session, the Special Meeting was reconvened
and the Mayor announced that regarding Public Employment, Council
discussed public employment of the City Manager; further announced
that the Conference with Labor Negotiators would be addressed after
the regular City Council meeting.
Mayor Johnson called a recess at 7:50 p.m. to hold the Regular City
Council Meeting and reconvened the Special Meeting at 9:40 p.m.
Following the Closed Session after the recess, the Special Meeting
was reconvened and the Mayor announced that regarding Conference
with Labor Negotiators, no action was taken.
Adjournment
There being no further business, Mayor Johnson adjourned the
Special Meeting at 10:15 p.m.
