Resolution 14424CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO.14424 AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE GRANT CONTRACT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS AND THE ALAMEDA POLICE DEPARTMENT 0 WHEREAS the City of Alameda has been awarded grant approval from ,8 the State of California Department of Boating and waterways in the _ sum o f $3,300.00 for the purpose of purchasing equipment for existing marine patrol P units; and �...� WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared by the Department rtrent of Boating and Waterways which requires the signature by a City representative and a resolution by the City Council authorizing the signature; and WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Boating and Waterways is funding the cost of purchasing new and/or replacement equipment to enhance the delivery of marine patrol and enforcement services to the maritime community in and around Alameda waterways with no requirement for local government matching funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that the Council authorize the City Manager to execute the Equipment and Operation Contract between the State of California and the City of Alameda. 1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda during the Regular Meeting of the City Council on the 1 6th day of February, 2010, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers deHaan, Gilmore, Matarrese, Tam and Mayor Johnson - 5.
