ORDINANCE NO . 504.
BE IT RESOLVED TH. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, as follows
WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Company has filed with the City Clerk a surety bond
dated September 22, 1934 in the sum of $5,000.00 in favor of the City of Alameda,
executed by Southern Pacific Company principal and Saint Paul -- Mercury Indemnity
Company of Saint Paul as surety, with request that said bond be substituted for the
bond heretofore filed with the City of Alameda which was executed by Pacific Ind-
emnity Company as surety to guarantee the faithful performance of franchise granted
by Ordinance No. 504 of the City of Alameda.
NOW THER FORE ,
BE IT RESOLVED, that said bond of Saint Paul - Mercury Indemnity Company of
Saint Paul dated September 22, 1934 be, and the same is hereby, approved, accepted
and filed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Pacific Indemnity Company be, and it is hereby,
released from all future liability on the bond heretofore executed by it guarantee-
ing the faithful performance of said franchise.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 2nd day of October, 1934, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bruzzone, Eschen, Morris, Tiedemann and President Murray,
(5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
