AMENDING RESOLUTION 14044 TO UPDATE SIGNING AUTHORITY FOR
LOCAL AGENCY INVESTMENT FUND
WHEREAS, on March 15, 1983 Council passed Resolution 10001
authorizing investment of available funds for the City in the States Local
Agency Investment Fund (LAIF), and;
WHEREAS, the signing authority included specifically the City Treasurer,
Finance Director and Supervising Accountant, and;
WHEREAS, this resolution was subsequently amended on December 5,
2006 with Resolution 14044 to reflect the reclassification of the Finance Director
as the Chief Financial Officer, and;
WHEREAS, as part of the adoption of the FY10-11 budget, the Chief
Financial Officer was reclassified as a Controller, and;
WHEREAS, the Controller needs to have signing authority.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Alameda that resolution 14044 be amended to include the Controller as a
signing authority for LAIF.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda during the Regular
Meeting of the City Council on the 7th day of December, 2010, by the following vote to
wit:
AYES: Councilmembers deHaan, Gilmore, Matarrese, Tam
and Mayor Johnson - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
