Resolution 14536CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. ORDERING VACATION OF PORTIONS OF TWO POWER EASEMENTS AND ONE PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT, WITHIN PARCEL 2 OF PARCEL MAP 2542, AND RECORDATION OF QUITCLAIMS (ALAMEDA TOWNE CENTRE) E WHEREAS, on September 1, 1959, a power easement as described in Book � 9138, Page 461 N ge 46 was filed in the Office of the County Recorder, Alameda County, California, and WHEREAS, on October 2, 1979, a power easement as described in Parcel `H' of that certain Grant of Easement was filed as Instrument No. 79- 196972 in the Office of the County Recorder, Alameda County, California, and WHEREAS, on October 30, 1957, a public utility easement as shown on Sheet 9 of Tract 1866, was filed in Map Book 38, Page 50 to 54 in the Office of the County Recorder, Alameda County, California, and WHEREAS, portions of the existing power easements and public utility easement are no longer necessary for electrical distribution infrastructure and utilities and may be vacated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that portions of power easements for electrical distribution lines and a p ortion of a public utility easement be vacated pursuant to the provisions of California Streets and Highways Code Section 8333(c). Legal descriptions and plats of the subject easement vacation are on file in the City Clerk's office. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall cause certified copies of this resolution, attested under seal, to be recorded in the County Recorder's Office and from and after the date of this resolution is recorded, said portions of said Power Easements as recorded on September 1, 1959, October 2, 1979 and said p ortion of Public Utility Easement recorded on October 30, 1957, no longer shall constitute an easement. 1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda during the Regular Meeting of the City Council on the 4th day of January, 2011, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Bonta, deHaan, Johnson, Tam and Mayor Gilmore - 5.
