SPECIAL ELECTION TO HELD IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ON TUESDAY, THE FIRST DAY ov NOVEMBER, I927, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS: OF SAID CITY ORDINANCE. NO. 346, N. S., RECLASSIFYING LOT ON THE NORTHERN SIDE OF CENTRAL AVENUE, 261 FEET WEST OF BROADWAY SO AS TO ENABLE THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GARAGE THEREON. Alameda City Ordinance's New Series 353 (Continued from Sec. 5. There shall be fifty -eight (58) election precincts for the pur- pose of holding said special elec- tion, which -said precincts shall _. be the sameand -have the same boun- daries; respectively, as those estab- lished by the Board of Supervis- ors of the County of Alameda, pur- suant to the provisions of Part Title 2, Chapter IV of the Political Code of the State of 'California, and the location of the respective poll- ing places therein and names of the, officers Hereby appointed to conduct said special election shall be the sameasthose - appointed by the Board of Directors of the East Bay :liunicipa.l Utility. District for the purpose, of holding and conducting another special election in said city on the same day. See. G. At said special election the polls shall be opened at 'six o'clock a.. m.: of the day ,of election and be kept open until seven o'clock p, m. of rize same day, when the polls shall be closed, except as other- ,vise provided in section 1164 of the Political Code of_ the ,State of "Cali- fornia., Sec. 7. The city clerk is - Hereby directed to procure all supplies rthat may be necessary to ,properly and ]awfully conduct said election. Sec. S. When the polls are closed the officers of election shall; count the ballots cast thereat, and can - vass the votes cast 'respectively ; for and against the question herein submitted, and make return thereof to the City Council - of the City of preceeding page) Alameda in time, form and manner required for the counting canvass- ing and returning of votes cast at other municipal elections held in said city. Sec. 9. If, at said special election, it shall appear that a majority of the voters voting upon said ques- tion have voted in favor thereof, said ordinance shall go into effect and become operative. Sec. 10. This ordinance, and the publication thereof, Shall constitute the notice of said election. Adopted and passed by the Coun- eil of the City of Alameda this 4th day of October, 1927.
