AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A LEASE OF CER-
TAIN REAL PROPERTY TO CLAR-
ENCE GARRITY, AND APPROVING
THE TERMS OF SAID LEASE.
WHEREAS, Clarence Garrity has ap-
plied to the City of Alameda for a lease
of certain City owned real property
situate iiz the City of Alameda and
more particularly described in the
form of lease hereinafter referred to,
for the purpose of conducting thereon
the business of processing and packag-
ing of vegetables and mineral oils, for
:a term beginning December 2, 1952, and
ending December 1, 1962, with the right
and option of renewing said lease for
an additional period of fifteen (15)
years, at a rental of One Hundred
Fifty ($160.00) Dollars per month for
the initial ten -year period and a rental
in an amount hereafter to be deter -
mined in the manner provided for in
said form of lease for the renewal
period of fifteen (15) years, in the
event such renewal be made; and
WHEREAS, a form of lease, herein-
before referred to, containing the
covenants and terms agreed .upon be-
tween the City of Alameda and the
proposed Lessee has been prepared
and submitted to this Council at its
regular meeting held October 7, 1952,
marked "Filed Oct. 7, 1952," and
ordered filed with the City Clerk of
said City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN -
ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1_ Tbat the .form of lease
referred to in the preamble hereof and
the terms, covenants, agreements and
provisions thereof be, and the . same
are hereby; approved.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to execute and
the City Clerk to attest, as the act and
deed of the City of Alameda, a lease
substantially in the form and contain-
ing the terms, covenants, agreements
and provisions set forth in the afore-
said form of lease.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after
the expiration of thirty (30) clays from
the date of its final passage.

scheid, Jones and President Osborn,

NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Sweeney, (1).
