Ordinance 1124 Alameda Clity Ordinances No. 1124 New Series AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AC- CEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF A LEASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROP- ERTY MADE BY ALAMEDA UNI- FIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, A PUB- LIC BODY, AND APPROVING THE FORM AND TERMS OF SAID LEASE. WHEREAS, Alameda Unified School District, a public body, hereinafter re- ferred to as Lessor, has offered to lease to the City of Alameda certain real property situate in the City Of Alameda, which real property is more particularly described in the form of lease hereinafter referred to, for the purpose of constructing and maintain- ing thereon a Recreation Center, for a term of forty (40) years from the 1st day of June, 1954; and WHEREAS, a form of lease setting forth the terms, covenants and agree- ments stipulated and agreed upon be- tween the City of Alameda and the Lessor has been prepared and submit- ted to this Council at its regular meet- ing held April 6, 1954, marked "Filed April 6, 1954," and ordered filed with the City Clerk of said City; and WHEREAS, it is deemed by this Council that the best interests of the City of Alameda will be served by the acceptance and execution of said lease; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR- DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AI_AMEDA: Section 1. That the form of lease re- ferred to in the preamble hereof and the terms, conditions, covenants n d agreements thereof be, and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. That the lease to the real property described in said form of lease be, and the same is hereby ac- cepted from the Lessor upon the terms, conditions, covenants, agreements and provisions set forth in the form of lease submitted to this Council and filed and approved as aforesaid. Section 3. The Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, as the act and deed of the City of Alameda, a lease substantially in the form and containing the terms, conditions, covenants, agreements and provisions set forth in the aforemen- tioned form of lease. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage. LELAND M.
