Ordinance 1164ORDINANCE NO. 1164 New Series AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE A.LAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SUBSECTION (1) OF SECTION 11 -1518 THEREOF, nELAT- ING TO OBSTRUCTIONS IN YARDS AND COURTS. lwiE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUN- CIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA &s falIows; SECTION 1. That the Alameda Muni - cipaa Code be, and the same is hereby amended by amending subsection (1) of Section 11 -1518 thereof, which amended subsection shall read as fol- laws : (1) The ordinary projection of sills, belt courses, cornices, but - tresses and eaves shall be permitted in such yard or court; provided, however, that sills and belt courses shall not extend into a minimum side yard more than four inches (4 and that cornices, buttresses and eaves, including eave troughs and gutters, shall not extend into a minimum side yard or court a distance greater than forty percent (40 % of the required width of said side yard or court, nor more than two feet (2') into a minimum front or rear yard. SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage. R. P.
