AN ORDINANCE %AUTHORIZING
THE CONVEYANCE BY QUIT-
CLAIM 'DEED OF A CERTAIN
CITY OWNED EASEMENT TO THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is
the owner of a - certain easement
hereinafter described; : and
WHEREAS, in connection with the
construction of ' a second Webster
Street tube, it is necessary that said
easement be quitclaimed to the
United States of America;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1. That the City of Alameda
convey by quitclaim deed to the
United States of America that certain
easement situate in the City of Ala-
meda, County of Alameda, State of
California, and more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
That portion of that certain
easement described as Parcel 1, in
the - Indenture to the CITY OF
ALAMEDA, a municipal corpora -
tion, recorded April 23,= 1942, in
Vol. ,4191, Page 400, Official Rec-
ords of Alameda County, which
lies within that certain 1.581- acre
parcel of land described in the
deed to the State of 'California,
recorded June 28, 1956,; in Vol.
8074, Page 115, Official Records of
Alameda County. ,
Section 2. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Alameda a quit-
claim deed transferring; to the United
States of America the interests of the
City of Alameda in the above set out
easement.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be
in full force ; and effect from and
after' the expiration, of thirty (30)
days from the date of its final pas-
sage.
