Ordinance 1247ORDINANCE NO. 1247 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF 'CERTAIN CITY OWNED REAL PROPERTY TO FORD H. THOMASON AND GER- TRUDE I. THOMASON, HIS WIFE (FITCHBURG AVENUE . PROPER- TY), WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is the owner of certain real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of Cali- fornia, as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid real prop- erty is no longer required by the City of Alameda for Municipal pur- poses, and public convenience and necessity require the disposal of said real property; and WHEREAS, Ford H. Thomason and Gertrude I. Thomason, his wife, have offered to purchase the said real property from the City of Alameda for the amount of Two Thousand, One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($2,125.50); NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR- DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA : Section 1. That the City of Ala- meda transfer unto the said. Ford H. Thomason and Gertrude I. Thomason, his wife, all that certain real prop- erty situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of Cali- fornia, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the northeastern line of Maitland Drive, distant thereon north 32 11' 11" west 20 feet from . the northwestern line of Fitchburg Avenue and running thence .along said line of Maitland Drive north 32 11' 11" west 50.77 feet; thence north 57' 48' .49" east 110 feet; thence south 32° 11' 11 east 50.77 feet to a line drawn north 57° 48' 49" east from the point of begin- ning; and thence south 57° 48' 49" west 110 feet to the point of be- .�inning for and in consideration of the sum Of Two. Thousand, One Hundred Twenty ]rive Dollars: and Fifty Cents ($2,125.50). to be paid in 'cash to the City of Alameda by the said Ford H. Thomason and Gertrude I. Thoma- son, his wife, coincident with the tender of a Grant Deed conveying said real property. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, a Grant Deed transferring the afore- said real property to Ford H. Thoma- son and Gertrude 1. Thomason, his wife, and the City Clerk is directed to attest the same. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its, final passage. WILLIAM M.
