Ordinance 1321ORDINANCE NO. 1321 An ordinance authorizing sale of certain city-owned real property to the alameda unified school district excess portion of tilden way WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is the owner of certain real property situate in the City, of Alameda, County of 'Alameda, - State of Cali - fornia, as hereinafter described; and bVIIEREAS, the aforesaid reai prop - erty is no 'longer required by the City of Alameda for municipal pur- poses and public convenience and necessity require the disposal of said real property; and -- WHEREAS, _ -the Alameda' Unified School District has offered 'to pur- chase said real property for the amount of ONE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED, ($1,500:00) DOLLARS; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR- DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY - OFALAMEDA: Section l: That the City of Ala- meda transfer unto the Alameda Un- ified School District all that certain real property situate in the City of Alameda; County of Alameda, State of - California, more particularly de- scribed as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the exterior line of the parcel of land described as Parcel 5 in the deed from Central Pacific Railway Company et al., to City of Ala- meda, dated January 3, 1959, re- - corded July 11, 1957 in Book 8412 of Official Records of Alameda County, page 561 (AM- 68327), said point being the most east - ern corner of the parcel of land described in the deed from South- ern Pacific Company to Daniel' G. Beckneil et ux., dated October ' 3; 1940, recorded October 30, 1940 in Book 3965 of Official Records of Alameda County, page', 378 (MM- 59014); running thence along the exterior boundary line of the parcel of land described as Par- cel 5 in said first mentioned deed the two following courses and distances: North 55° 38' 17" west 115 27 feet and North 76° 29' 26" East 171`.92 feet to a line drawn north 34 °'23' 02" east from the point of beginning; and thence along said line so drawn r south 34° 23' 02 "1 west 127.50 feet to the ioint of beginning, for and in consideration of the sum of $1,500.00, to be paid in cash to the City of Alameda by the Alameda Unified School District - coincident with the tender of a grant deed con- veying said real property. All es- crow charges and title insurance costs are to be ,paid by, the , grantee. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute; for and on behalf of the City of Alameda,' a grant deed transferring the afore- said real property to the Alameda Unified School District of Alameda County, 'State of California, a ;pub- lic corporation, and the City Clerk is directed to attest to the same. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage. WILLIAM M.
