AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING '
THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE
OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
TO THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
TO BE USED FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF MAINTAINING AND
OPERATING AN E X I S T I N G
VETERANS' MEMORIAL BUILD-
ING, AND APPROVING THE
FORM AND TERMS OF SAID
LEASE.
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda
has applied to the City of Alameda
for a lease of certain real property
situate in the City of Alameda for
the purpose of using same for the
maintenance and operation of an ex-
isting Veterans' Memorial Building;
and
WHEREAS, a form of Lease con-
taining the covenants, terms and con-
ditions to be entered into is on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Alameda, and the Council of
the City of Alameda is informed of
the contents thereof;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA:
Section 1. That the form of Lease
referred to in the preamble hereof,
and the terms, conditions and cove-
nants contained therein be, and the
same are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the lands described
in said forth of Lease be, and the
same are hereby leased to the Coun-
ty of Alameda upon the terms, cove-
nants, agreements and provisions
contained in the form of Lease sub-
mitted to the Council and filed and
approved as aforesaid.

Section 3. That the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he is here -
by authorized to execute for and on
behalf of the City of Alameda, a
lease substantially in the form and
containing the terms and conditions
and covenants as set out in the Lease
referred to in the preamble hereof,
and the City Clerk is hereby author-
ized and directed to attest to same.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and
after the expiration of thirty (34)
days from the date of its final pas-
sage.
