Ordinance 1449ORDINANCE nO. 1449 New Series AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 17-435 TO ARTI- CLE 3 OF CHAPTER 4, TITLE XVII, RELATING To STOP SIGNS AT INTERSECTIONS CONTROLLED BY OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS BE IT ORDATNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALA- MEDA: Section. 1. Article 3, Chapter 4, of Title XV11;of the Alameda M,u- nicipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto Section 17-435, which shall read as follows: Sec. 17-435. Stop Signs at Sig- nal - Controlled Intersections. Notwithstanding any other pro- vision of this Code, stop signs shall not be erected at any entrance to an intersection when such entrance is controlled by an official traffic­ control signal. Stop signs erected prior to the effective date of this provision and which are in place removea prior to January 1, Section 2. This -ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) dayfs tram the date of its final passage. WI1jLrAM S.
