Ordinance 1522ORDINANCE 1522 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING T H E ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 3 -5616 THEREOF, RELATING TO SEIZURE AND SALE FOR TAXES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA : .Section 1. That Section 3 -5616 of the Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as fol- 1 ows : Sec. 3 -5616. Limitation of Sei- zure— Escaped Property. Property shall not be seized and sold for taxes after three years succeeding the time the taxes become due, except that if the property is dis- covered and assessed outside an assessment period the power to seize and sell is extended to two years after the lien date succeed- ing the discovery and assessment. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage, WILLIAM S.
