AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENT OF LEASE OF
REAL PROPERTY BY CITY TO
PACIFIC SHOPS, INC.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordi-
nance No. 1506 N.S., a written
agreement between the City of
Alameda and Pacific Shops, Inc.,
a California corporation, was en-
tered into on July 27, 1965, where-
by the City leased to said Pacific
Shops, Inc. certain City -owned
tide and submerged lands; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable
and in the public interest that an
additional parcel of City -owned
real property, consisting of 0.089
acres more or less and adjoining
the lands leased in said written
agreement, be leased to said
lessee, at, an additional yearly
rental sum of Seventy -five dollars
($75.00): and
WHEREAS, it is found and de-
termined that leasing of said ad-
ditional parcel will serve the pur-
poses for which said lands were
leased; and
WHEREAS, a form of amend-
ment to said written lease, incor-
porating the additional parcel
and increased rental payments,
has been prepared and submitted
to this Council and filed with the
City Clerk, and said amendment
and its terms are hereby ap-
proved:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT OR-
DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1. The form of amend-
ment of lease referred to in the
foregoing recitals, and its terms,
covenants and conditions, be and
the same hereby are approved.
Section 2. The Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he hereby
is, authorized to execute on be-
half of the City, an amendment
to that certain lease between the
City of Alameda and Pacific
Shops, Inc., a California corpora-
tion, heretofore on July 27, 1965,
entered into, said amendment to
be substantially in the form and
containing the terms and condi-
tions set forth in said form, and
the City Clerk is directed to at-
test the same.
Section 3. This ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from
and after the expiration of thirty
(30) days from the date of its
final passage.
